Happy Birthday Makenna

Well it is official. Makenna is 1! How is it possible for a year to go by in the blink of an eye. It has been such a fun year. She is so sweet, so fun, so happy! She was made to be a part of our family.




We had her birthday party over the weekend. We had the family over for dinner and cake, Makenna had a great time!

5 Years

5 years ago today, I got to marry my best friend. It has been a great 5 years. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way! Love you Chad!

Clifford and Fritz

A few weeks ago we went down to Crown Center to see the Clifford exhibit and have lunch. I don't have any pictures from Clifford because that place was a little crazy and they wouldn't let me take my stroller in, so holding Makenna and chasing Madeline meant no pictures for us. But don't worry because lunch was much more calm and a perfect time for pictures. The girls loved the Clifford exhibit and enjoyed playing there for quite a while, but lunch was really fun. They both really loved Fritz. It was Makenna's first time and she was so happy watching the trains go by! A good day for all.

Faces

This summer Madeline has become quite the little ham for the camera. She loves to pose and make faces. It is really hard to get a "normal" picture right now because she always has something in mind that she needs to do for the picture. Oh well. At least she wants me to take her picture. She is so fun! So behind...

I am so behind on blogging. We had done so much, but I am not the best blogger. So I will try to do some blogging of our more note worthy things. We shall start with Madeline's recital. Madeline started taking a dance class in May. We had no idea when we joined that the recital was only a couple months away. I am sure in Madeline's opinion we joined just at the right time because she loved dancing on stage. I wasn't sure how she would do once she actually got out there in front of all the people, but she did great! They danced a cute little tap routine to "Material Girl" Then she and Chad participated in the Father/daughter dance. They did a Greece Medley. It was so cute! I love that Chad did it with her. He was such a good sport and even took a spot in the front row!! It was a fun night! I love having a little girl!! Here are a few pictures. I don't have many.

Big Day

Today was a great day for us, Makenna finally said "MAMA!" I was so excited. Chad thinks she has said it before, but I have not heard it before today, so I count today as our official first day! Madeline didn't say it until 11 months so I figured I still had a while, but I was wrong! It was so sweet to hear her say it! Love that little girl!!
